UNAM's 12 offices abroad, located in 3 continents, contribute to the internationalization of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (National Autonomous University of Mexico) with the compulsion of academic, scientific, and cultural activities. Their presence in Germany, Canada, China, Cuba, Spain, United States of America, France and United Kingdom, aims to create opportunities regarding: student mobility, academic exchange, institutional liaison, and cultural promotion, in benefit of the university community that resides in Mexico and abroad.
Through their liaison labour the offices abroad contribute to the development of scientific projects with Higher Education Institutions (HEI) from various countries; they promote UNAM’s participation in international forums, colloquiums, and seminars; they also foster mexican culture, spanish language and its certification, among countless activities.
UNAM offices abroad bring the substantive functions of UNAM, teaching, research and culture beyond national frontiers.
