We spent a great and very Mexican
evening with the renowned historian and expert on traditional Mexican music, Álvaro Ochoa Serrano, who presented the third edition of his book “Manual del Mariachi” (Mariachi Manual).This event offered a unique opportunity to explore and reflect on the history and evolution of mariachi, one of the most iconic traditions in Mexican culture.
The event featured a special review by Maya Piña, a prominent cultural manager, transgender rights activist, passionate art writer, and editorialist and performances by Carlos Aviña and his group and Mariachi Fuego from UIC.
